Hello! Welcome to Kitchi Landing, a beautiful rustic resort located on Kitchi Lake on the infamous Cass Chain of Lakes in the Northwoods of Minnesota. Our friendly little resort offers fishing, boating, swimming, kayaking, canoeing and many other family activities.
Kitchi offers excellent lake & river fishing with access to eight lakes including Cass, Big Rice and Little Rice Lakes, plus Turtle River and Mississippi River. Our Cass Lake chain produces many species of fish such as Walleye, Northern Pike, Bluegills, Crappie, Muskie, Panfish, Large Mouth Bass, Small Mouth Bass, and Perch.
Kitchi Lake is entirely surrounded by the Chippewa National Forrest and offers excellent wildlife viewing from the lake or by taking a hike. It also hosts the newest section of the Paul Bunyan Trail, which at 120 miles is the longest bike trail in Minnesota!
At the end of the day come to the lodge, grab a beer, watch the sunset, and listen to the Loons and tell us all about “the one that got away”.
We have 2 and 3 bedroom, clean & comfortable cabins. Each are fully furnished with bedding, soft water showers and access to laundry! Kitchens are fully equipped for your cooking needs. Each cabin has their own personality – check them out here!
Hello! We are Steve, Val & Bodhi Engelman - the proud owners of Kitchi Landing Resort. There was a great feeling of coming home when we purchased the resort in 2017 and we call it Kitchi Kismet on how we landed here. My (Val’s) great-grandfather, Ben Hagen, owned the resort for a period of time in the late 40’s - then called Hagen's Resort (Home of the 3lb Crappies!). We were on a fishing trip on a nearby lake with our extended Hagen family over Memorial Day 2017 and we stopped by to check out this piece of our family history. We looked around, took pictures, heard some of Dad's stories, stopped in the Lodge for a beer & visited with the owners. As we left they jokingly said "hey, we put it on the market this week" and when we left that day I think we all knew we would be back. Six months later Steve & I were moving in with our (then) 2 month old son Bodhi. It's been a wild ride - but we couldn't imagine being anywhere else! We hope you'll join us on our little piece of our Northern MN paradise!
