COVID-19

Hello Kitchi Friends and Family!

As resort owners, we take our responsibility to provide you, as our guest, an environment that is clean and safe very seriously. While this occurs every year, this year we are taking additional steps to protect our guest, ourselves and staff. We have attempted to analyze all aspects of our operation to install additional procedures that allow you peace of mind that we are doing everything we can to mitigate the spread of the virus. We have provided below an outline of what we are doing and what we ask you to do differently this year

Common Areas:

  • We must remain aware of the physical distance guidelines being asked of all of us: 6 ft apart and stay home if you are feeling sick. Note, under orders from the Governor we will ask that masks be worn inside the Lodge (open by appointment only).

  • We are asking those that have been ill or have shown any symptoms of the virus within 14 days of their arrival to stay home.  This includes those care givers or family members who have come in contact with the ill individual.

  • Beach and other common areas are open – please follow the physical distancing guidelines as outlined above.

  • Fish House and Laundry are open – please disinfect before and after your use and only one family use at a time.

  • There will be sanitation stations with disinfectant and hand sanitizer as they are available located outside buildings throughout the resort in high traffic areas.

  • We will disinfect reserved boats and pontoon prior to each use, you are responsible for the day to day as you see fit during extended rentals.

Cabins:

  • We will be taking every measure as outlined by the CDC in cleaning and disinfecting between guests.

  • Cabin supplies are limited to the very basics as listed below, if there is something you need or are missing please text or call Val.

    • Coffee pot & filters, toaster

    • 6 each: coffee cups, drinking cups, silverware sets, plates & bowls (10 each in Cabin 3)

    • 2 & 3 At Covered Saucepans, 4Qt & 8Qt Covered Stockpots, 5Qt Saute pan with lid, 10” & 12” skillet

    • Baking sheet, glass 9x13 dish, colander, mixing bowls, measuring cups/spoons, glass liquid measuring cup

    • Tongs, spatula, slotted/unslotted spoon, ladle, whisk, set of hot pads

    • Knife set, kitchen shears, pizza wheel, vegetable peeler, can opener, corkscrew/bottle opener, grater

    • Weber charcoal grill & grilling utensils

  • DIY Bedding: We understand and apologize for the inconvenience but appreciate you taking this extra step to keep you, our staff and guests healthy.

    • Knowing many may choose to bring their own bedding, to prevent unnecessary washing of unused bedding and to help keep transmission low we have left a ‘bed in a bag’ sealed on each bed. If not needed, please store away during your stay or text Val and we’ll pick it up. â€‹

    • Included: pillows with pillow covers, pillow cases, fitted sheet, flat sheet, bedspread & white blanket

    • Upon departure: Please roll (don’t shake) used bedding - include the mattress pad and pillow covers - place back into the plastic bag it came in or the laundry bag provided

  • We have provided you with individually wrapped soap bars, please discard your used soap upon your departure. Unfortunately, due to limited supply our ability to provide hand sanitizer, disinfectant sprays, toilet paper and paper towels may be limited. We will provide what we can, but please come prepared.

  • Upon your departure we ask a few extra things, we thank you in advance for your cooperation:

    • Discard any unused soap bars

    • Tie up garbage and place in bins located outside the cabin

    • Please roll (don’t shake) used bedding, including the mattress pad and pillow covers and place back into the plastic bag it came in or the laundry bag provided

    • Leave a check if not paying online

  • Do not use the exterior items of another cabin unless invited to do so by the cabin occupant

  • We hope it’s apparent to our guests we always clean and disinfect to a high level of standard and we have added additional disinfecting procedures to include “high touch point” areas.

  • We’ve removed items from cabins that guest “share” from one visit to another and “unnecessary items” that cannot be easily cleaned; such as decks of cards, pens, alarm clocks, wall hangings, décor, etc

  • Please provide Val with your email address. We will provide a link to your invoice for the remainder of your stay, ice and firewood via email the night before your departure. You will have the option to pay directly online or leave a check in your cabin upon departure.
